Business Coach & Trainer
About Tom Hartnett:
Tom began his career in the in-home service industry in 1994, working diligently in the field, learning multiple aspects of the HVAC/R trade while holding positions ranging from technician to installer to salesperson. He was always driven to serve clients at the highest level and be the best at whatever position he held. For 15 years, Tom honed his technical and interpersonal skills, earned multiple industry certifications, and developed an advanced knowledge base of the most effective sales and business practices.
Tom’s extraordinary abilities were recognized by others in the industry, and in 2009, he stepped into the management realm, which fit his love of training, motivating others, and collaborating to meet and exceed objectives. He held General Manager and Operations Manager positions over the next six years, growing one HVAC division from $1 million to $6 million, and building another from $7 million to $18 million, while maintaining a blended margin of over 55% at each one.
As Tom’s passion for the industry and trades grew, so did his desire to serve others and dive deeper into high-level training. He was interested in the Indoor Air Quality niche, so he moved into training IAQ, free from product or manufacturer bias, with the specific intention and goal of always doing what is best for the client.
After devoting his time to IAQ coaching and training, Tom knew it was time to apply his wide knowledge of the in-home service industry, what it takes to run a profitable company, and how to motivate others to succeed, and join the Blue Collar Success Group as a Business Coach and Trainer. His mission to serve others, learn every day, and provide the best training in the industry fits perfectly with the company’s objectives. Tom’s goal is to share his extensive industry knowledge and experience with Blue Collar Success Group clients, working side-by-side to help them build strong companies and reach their goals.
Tom is NATE Certified, OESP/ NORA/ PPMCSA Gold Cert, EPA Universal Cert, BPI Certified, and GasTite and TracPipe Certified. He is also a NATE Instructor and a former LCTI HVAC Instructor.
